Privacy Policy
Agent · Last updated 13 October 2026
Who this applies to
Agent is a private assistant operated by one person for their own Google account. It has no other users and is not offered to the public. This policy describes what it does with that account's data.
What it accesses
With the account owner's consent, Agent uses the Gmail API to:
- read messages in the owner's mailbox (senders, subjects, dates, message text, attachment names);
- send replies and unsubscribe requests from the owner's address;
- archive messages or move them to Trash.
It does not open attachments, cannot permanently delete messages, and cannot change account settings.
How the data is used
Mail is read for two purposes only: to give the owner a summary of their inbox, and to carry out an instruction the owner has given. Every action that sends mail or changes the mailbox is shown to the owner first and happens only after they approve it.
The data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to build profiles of anyone.
Who else receives it
- Anthropic. Message content is sent to Anthropic's Claude models to produce summaries and draft replies, under the owner's own Anthropic account and its data settings.
- Telegram. Summaries and action previews are delivered to the owner in a private Telegram chat.
It is shared with no one else.
Storage and retention
Agent runs on a server controlled by the owner. The credentials that grant access to the Google account are stored on that server and nowhere else. Conversation history, which can contain excerpts of mail, is kept on the same server and deleted automatically after 30 days.
Revoking access
Access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After that Agent can no longer read or act on the mailbox.
